Partner with purpose – empower lives with CGD Society.
The CGD Society supports families and individuals affected by Chronic Granulomatous Disorder – a life-limiting and life-threatening disorder which affects the immune system. We provide medical advice, wellbeing support and financial aid.
Organisations and businesses can make a real difference by supporting CGD Society through fundraising, sponsorship, or partnerships that help us provide vital support, information, and advocacy for those living with Chronic Granulomatous Disorder.
Your team could enable us to continue supporting those affected by CGD, just like Elliot here, who went through a bone marrow transplant.
We gave financial aid to his family, who needed a little extra help whilst he was going through treatment and his Mum had to give up work.
Here’s some other work we have done recently:
- Provided funds for prescription payments to 22 individuals – taking away the financial burden of having to pay for continuous medication required for CGD.
- Gave 10 families financial aid to help them through difficult times with our support fund.
- Answered 52 helpline requests – these are from individuals at a variety of points in their CGD journey.
- Provided 268 people with medical support through our Clinical Nurse Specialist, who is funded directly through our charity.

How can you help?
There are a variety of ways your business or organisation could support our charity, we are more than happy to work with you on what works best. Below are a few options, but we are not limited to just these ideas!
- Support our events or awareness campaigns – this could involve full or part-funding one of our family weekends which provides a safe space for those who need it.
- Enable payroll giving – this option means that employees of your business or organisation would set up a small donation monthly through payroll.
- Pro-bono services that would assist our team to continue their vital work – previously we have had pro bono website and legal work which pushed our services forward.
- For some families affected by CGD, even small gestures can make a big difference. One young girl, after enduring rigorous threatments, wished for a simple garden swing – somewhere to smile, rest and feel the joy of being outside again.
